Welcome to the Tidewater Orchid Society
Our Purpose
To promote public interest in and appreciation of orchids by undertaking exhibits, shows, and other promotions, and will endeavor to increase members’ knowledge of orchids and their culture by lectures, workshops, and educational programs.
TOS is organized exclusively for charitable, educational and scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations under Section 501 (3) of the Internal Revenue Code (or the corresponding section of any future Federal tax code).
Please be aware we have moved our meeting location for the next few months to the Virginia Tech Extension Center on Diamond Spring Road. This is subject to change so please check back often since we may need to adjust our meeting location in the future. This is temporary to facilitate the remodelling of the Norfolk Botanical Gardens.

Some of the newer folks may be a bit overwhelmed by all the material on this website and are looking for some simple answers on how to take care of orchids.
