A message from Brandt: "A link on the right is available of plants that have been secured to date for our upcoming Purchased Plant Auction. The auction will be held this upcoming Sunday (the 6th of April) at the classroom in the Norfolk Botanical Garden. The classroom is in the first building on the left once you pass the entry gateway. The auction will start at 1 PM after a very short business meeting. As you will see on the list, we have 71 plants with approximately 20 more still enroute. The plants were acquired with an emphasis on less demanding "windowsill" varieties. There are still a handful of true collectables to be disseminated. Please spread the world and bring every plant person you can. If they don't buy anything, at least they can help you get all your new plants home." Again no membership required to bid on the plants at the auction.
Time for a quick update.

The American Orchid Society has a great web page to answer some of those basic questions. Please click on the link for more information to make you more successful.
